Youth Program- Mud Daubers!

Let’s get hands on as we learn!

Mixing clay soil, sand, water and straw makes cob. This cob can be used to make outdoor structures, but we need to protect it. We will learn the importance of a good “hat” to provide this protection. The art of making structures with cob is fun, it allows you to get creative, work on team building skills and forget about your worries! WARNING: You will get dirty….

We will work on small projects at Cob Hill with cob, like garden walls and small buildings. Who knows, you might create your own get-away in your backyard once you’ve experienced the fun of cobbing and involve other family members!

We will have classes in sculpting, plastering, wood-working, cooking, healthy eating, gardening, permaculture and yoga.

There will be community projects where we will work with the local community on projects in surrounding areas of Hughes Springs, Daingerfield and Avinger. There is no end to the possibilities! We are open to your suggestions too.

Mud Daubers will have a monthly event at Cob Hill. Classes will be taught by Cat, Yogita and guest teachers.
