The Equine Experience
Our Equine Experience program was inspired by the rescue horses that have been adopted here at Cob Hill. It focuses primarily on veterans with PTSD and their families. We passionately believe that there could be no better connection than an animal and a human that share a history of trauma or a loss of ability. Our horses have been rescued from bad situations or spared from the kill pen. Stay tuned to our events page for our next scheduled trail ride!
Our program offers a variety of ways to interact with the horses:
Horseback riding (if able)
Grooming
Walking exercise with a lead rope
Just enjoying the snuggles and love
Outside of the brief horse interactions included in our monthly tours, we currently have limited availability for private Equine Experience appointments as construction continues on Cob Hill Retreat. Rates are as follows: Disabled Veterans are free, and the rate for active duty military or non-disabled veterans+up to 3 family members is $75. You must provide a copy of your current military ID and current DD214 form.
